Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed:

Our commitment

Sitter Club is committed to making our website and app usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA (opens in a new tab), and we treat accessibility problems as bugs to be fixed.

What we do

  • Every form field has a programmatic label, and buttons and links have accessible names.
  • Pages allow browser zoom and pinch-to-zoom, and text reflows on small screens.
  • Text and interactive elements are designed to meet WCAG AA color-contrast ratios.
  • Pages use landmarks (header, main, footer) and a “skip to main content” link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
  • We test with automated tools (axe-core, pa11y) and review changes for keyboard access.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of Sitter Club may not yet be fully accessible:

  • The sitter map is a visual aid; the same sitters and distances are available in the list view.
  • Payments are processed on Stripe-hosted pages, and some content (for example, map tiles) comes from third parties whose accessibility we do not fully control.
  • Automated testing cannot catch every issue; we are continuing manual keyboard and screen-reader testing.

Need help or an alternate format?

If you have trouble using any part of Sitter Club, need information in an alternate format, or want to report an accessibility barrier, please contact us. Tell us the page or feature, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you use (if any), and how you would like us to reach you.

We aim to respond to accessibility requests within 2 business days, and we will work with you to provide the information or service you need through an accessible alternative.

Feedback

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Sitter Club. This statement is reviewed regularly and updated as we make improvements.
